OK, this is a seriously professional tool, but I'm an amateur. So for me it's overkill but after using it I would buy it in a heartbeat. It's good. The processing of all built-in components is excellent. The case is sturdy and I bolted it to the wall of my detached garage. Even the 30ft hose is well made, very flexible and long enough for my application; Device supports longer hoses up to 164 feet. The description shows that it is a rubber hose in one place and polyurethane in another; I think it's rubber. This is not a compressor and must be connected to it; I can understand the question about this given the price, low cost and compact size of tire inflators. I had a small compressor that I used for regular shop stuff and I installed it in the tire under the gauge. There is also a reference to battery operation in the poorly written instructions, but I gave it mains power. In fact, the manual is the only weak point of this otherwise excellent product. Management is easy. For most uses, you simply adjust the pressure with the "+" and "-" buttons, attach the brass chuck to the hoop, and let it work its magic by beeping when you're done. Aside from adjusting the pressure, you don't need to touch the device unless you're inflating an empty tire (below 3psi). I've filled the tires from 10psi (tractor rear) to 36psi (F150) and everything was automatically painless. Like I said, the manual isn't well written and there are a few secrets, but the product is pretty intuitive. If I removed the star because of the instructions, I would have to put it back because of the quality tubing. Of course, this is expensive for the homeowner and you have to decide if it's worth it. I have air tires on two vehicles, two tractors, a full trailer, two lawn tractor trailers, a hose reel, a wheelbarrow, a hand truck...you get the idea. It is very convenient for me and I recommend it if you have toys and are not ashamed of the price.
