Review on πŸ”Œ Premium Wireless REM Air System Replacement Pump for Select Comfort or Sleep Number Mattresses by Lauren Russell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Recalibration required

I had to buy this pump for the new airbox because the old pump could not connect to the new airbox. This pump has two wireless remote controls. The first controller is calibrated and working, the hardness setting is fine. The next day the pump didn't recognize him. Still got the "ER" code. I followed the instructions but to no avail. The delivery device has not been recalibrated with the pump. Luckily there are two controllers and the second controller worked fine. In fact, I use it all the time now. Follow the instructions PLUS remove the batteries from the hand control. Wait a minute and then reinsert the batteries. Now follow the instructions and the controller will be recalibrated. This new pump is similar to the old one in the sense that it cannot hold the setting for long. I set it to 70 for the night and it dropped to 30 in the morning. Based on their claims that their pumps hold air, which they clearly are not, I have no choice but to lower the rating. SleepNumber customer service told me they installed check valves to prevent the pump from leaking. But if that's true, how can I lower the setting with the remote control? Doesn't the check valve restrict the direction of flow? If he lets air in, he can't let it out (or come out). Why do companies spend so much resources selling and supporting their products and continue to exaggerate the merits of their products? I have the original pump from the sleepnumber bed on the other side of the side I sleep on. I add air periodically to keep the setting at 100. I rarely lie on this side, so it's not my weight that's pushing the air out. This should be your "check valve". This new pump has to increase the setting every day or it will fail.
