Update - the rating below is still valid: However, after about 10 days of use, the bottle leaks the cap AND through the side of the spout. I used the original smaller bottle for a year and it never worked. Downgrade! I have the original Hydaway bottle and wanted a bigger one. The size is really what I wanted (25 oz), the other one was too small for me. I use it for any drink, even hot (but be careful, then the bottle gets hot!), and it works well. I like a big hole to put lemon slices or whatever in (and it's easy to get it out). In addition, it is easy to wash, so you can even use it for some cute things, because the large opening makes everything easy to clean. Better than the original: the small carrying handle is much more practical! The large spout and its body are more convenient to use, the old smaller one is a little cumbersome to use. Worse than the original: The base is not as stable. In my opinion, a small ring of hard plastic (or other material) in the base is needed for good stability on any surface. The bottle is taller and sways uneasily even when full.
