💦 HYDAWAY Collapsible Water Bottle: Compact 25oz Spout Lid, Perfect for Travel, and Made of Safe Food-Grade Silicone (Seaside) Review

I bought these bottles for us thinking they would be great for travel. They are heavy and uncomfortable when full. The collapsible straw is difficult to get at and even more difficult to suck out the water. They are difficult to break. The positive thing is that they do not leak and are very strong. I've been looking for a travel water bottle for a long time, but ultimately made the wrong choice.

Great design and small packaging that easily fits in a pocket, but the smell and taste of rubber is just unbearable. I've tried cleaning, soaking, sitting, and drying/airing, but after trying multiple times to get rid of the smell and taste, I just gave up. Would be a great travel water bottle if you could get rid of the smell or at least deal with it. Unfortunately, I couldn't get rid of the strong rubber smell/taste.

I like how it folds compactly, much smaller than other companies. Perfect for travel so I don't have to find space for a giant water bottle when not in use. I also carry in my purse if I ever forget my regular everyday bottle at work or the gym. I also love the loop that I attached to my fanny pack when hiking and just folded it up when empty. I just wish the tote bag wasn't so expensive. I've kept it clean so far, but I would have preferred a mouthpiece cover.

I've been using this product for over 1 month. However, it always smells like silicone. Otherwise the product is good. However, since this is an oral product, smell is important. You can't stop wondering if this stuff is cheap. So if you plan to use it every day, you can't ignore the smell. But if you only use it for travel or don't plan to keep water inside for more than 1 hour, maybe you should buy it!

Personally I have 2 of these each of my children and my wife too. We use them for flights, van rides, skiing, hiking, sporting events, mountain biking and everyday travel. They're great thanks to the simple idea of folding them up when you're done drinking and need to put them away. Not a big, bulky plastic bottle, but one that easily fits in a backpack pocket, purse, coat pocket, etc. Easy to clean and takes up little space in our kitchen. Thank you Hydaway for a well thought out product.

First, I like that it folds into an easy-to-carry disk that fits perfectly in luggage. The lid is screwed tightly, the bottle does not leak. The spout is strong. Second thing I don't like: when it's full, it's too thick in the middle to fit in the outer cup holder of my travel backpack. I strapped it to my backpack with a carabiner, which resulted in annoying rocking and bouncing. I did extensive research on water bottles because I wanted the Que bottle - they only come in 20oz not 25oz. I was very excited to see that this one weighed 25 ounces and seemed to be getting high marks on many of the sites I checked. I ordered 3 - one for me, one for my daughter and one for my husband - for a trip to Disney. When I took them out of the boxes, I saw that the center seams had come undone. I liked the idea of this water bottle. I researched dozens of different styles and brands to find the best fit for my trip. I chose the Hydaway because it fell apart and was best suited for empty trips. I doubted the price, but won the convenience of folding and spaciousness. Hydaway worked great on my trip. I liked that it holds 25 oz. (by far the largest capacity for small collapsible bottles) and was durable. It hasn't leaked and I haven't had any issues with lost seals or an empty bottle…

Update - the rating below is still valid: However, after about 10 days of use, the bottle leaks the cap AND through the side of the spout. I used the original smaller bottle for a year and it never worked. Downgrade! I have the original Hydaway bottle and wanted a bigger one. The size is really what I wanted (25 oz), the other one was too small for me. I use it for any drink, even hot (but be careful, then the bottle gets hot!), and it works well.
