Scan mat not working in Scan n Cut DX 125

I recently purchased a Scan n Cut DX125 from HSN. I ordered a Brother scan mat from Revain two days ago, but the machine does not recognize it. I looked at various websites for troubleshooting tips, including cleaning the scanner glass and mat. Still does not work. Went to the Brother site, no luck. Apparently the mat is defective or I ordered the wrong mat for this car. Hope someone can help me.
