I used this to cover up a peep hole in some ducts and was hoping for some flexibility in terms of hole size. I think the hole should be 1.250 or less, my hole measures between 1.275-1.285 and the plug won't stay in place, it just falls out. Be careful with your hole size, I had to buy an expandable plug and it worked like a champ. You definitely won't get the same flex as the rubber bushing used for sheet metal, I just couldn't find a strong bushing.
