Disappointing! - Portable Speakers and Docks

I picked this particular player because it looked cool and Apple style, was fairly cheap and thought it should be a decent Philips product. I was a bit skeptical when reading the reviews for two reasons. Firstly, it obviously had no intention of blowing up a large room with its sound, and it also sounded like there were some technical difficulties. Not wanting to spend a lot of money I decided everything would sound better than what I was using before and it was nothing! I sincerely hoped that technical glitches would not affect me. I was right in the first case and wrong in the second. I received the product and opened it up to find that the amount of instructions or help was the picture which pretty much made me want to plug it in. Fun. I was also told in about 40 different languages not to use it in the bath and not to plug it into the microwave. I plugged it in and connected my iPhone to the dock. My first message was that I had to download the app, which I did. Easy enough. I opened my playlist and tried it out. A little tinny at lower volumes, but as per other reviews, the sound improved as the volume went up. As I expected it wasn't Bose surround sound, but for the price it was quite decent. I also liked that it charged my phone while playing! Here is the key argument. I connected my phone today and keep getting the message that this "device is not supported". The? Tried to play around with him a bit and he just wouldn't cooperate. No fee, no play - nothing. He managed to register my wireless printer in another room and told me it wasn't supported either. In earnest. After about 5 minutes something clicked and he decided to check in. Good. Accident? I doubted this after reading the reviews. After about 10 minutes I picked up the phone, left the house and tried again when I came back. Same problem. This time he never found the iPhone. Forget it, it's coming back. TODAY.
