What took so long? Best in Cookware

Rubber has been around longer than silicone, but that didn't have to be factored into can closures. Removing the old and hardened rubber grommets was more difficult than fitting the silicone replacements and considering how long some of my other silicone kitchen appliances have lasted these guys have a long life ahead of them.
