I just received it and this is my first time using the crossbar. The opening and locking functions work well, the crossbar slides back and forth, but it doesn't have a locking mechanism. So it locks the handlebars and seat together, but there's still play between them. This means that if you somehow forget to fasten the bike seat or if it somehow becomes loose, you will lose your bike. That's why I prefer it tight and tidy than with so much play. This is my reason for three stars, I might return this one. Doesn't come with manual. Like I said, this is my first time using a crossbar, I just hope other brands aren't.
