The adapter did what it was supposed to - I was able to transfer photos from a USB stick to my iPhone and use USB headsets for listening iPhone Audio, Newscasts and Music. The charging port seemed to provide enough power to charge my iPhone and power the connected device. Unfortunately, this prevented me from using my USB headset to make calls, which was the main reason I bought it. Although it is a good product and works as advertised I returned it. Should have read the reviews more carefully. Users have said it works with USB headsets, but I haven't seen any comments that it doesn't work with phone calls. My problem. Conclusion: Buy this device if you want to transfer photos to your iPhone. This should work fine for you.
