I received the housing before the zoom I ordered was available. So I rented it, just like this lens. I tried Zoom first. This is an excellent lens. But when I tried this one I was shocked and never took it out of my suitcase until it was time to return the rental. At that point I canceled the Zoom order and held the solution in my hands. .I've been using 35mm full frame for 10 years. My overall champion, especially in sharpness, was the Canon 14mm 2.8 II. This GF lens toppled it from its throne. For a cropped medium format lens, it's both tiny and very light. This is the best lens I have ever used on a system. I can't think of a single negative. Not the slightest play on words. If you're not sure, rent. But be careful, you will NOT let him go.
