I've waited months to write this review to see how this product works. I wash my filters every 8 weeks. Today was my first cleaning. The filters caught just as much contamination as the old Laguna filters (which I've been using for ten years). However, the big advantage of this product over the Laguna product is that it has 4 rings instead of 3. This made cleaning up a lot easier (because I was able to "ring" them better with less effort). The big plus was that they were easier to put back into the filter housing. It's tricky at times, but with these they went straight in with minimal effort (probably because 4 rings are more flexible than 3). For those who live in Hawaii, this was the only Revain product that shipped here (I used to be able to get Laguna filters, but no longer). Laguna's third-party vendors overcharge for shipping to Hawaii. But HYTC ships from China and there were no problems or additional shipping costs to Hawaii. For pond owners on the mainland, the lowest price matters most. That being said, I would recommend Laguna filters to pond owners who like to put in new filters and replace them with new ones (rather than cleaning old, dirty ones) because they can hold more dirt, which isn't as important with regular filter cleaning. .
