Don't buy if you plan to use a hose and wand.

Let's start with the positives - very good suction, good manoeuvrability, has a loop handle - easier to pull. However - two significant pitfalls, one of which may make this unacceptable to many - firstly - not a big deal but certainly impractical - you have to unwind the power cord to use the hose/wand and as I understand when you wind it up it's designed that way - it's very bulky on a short cord (perhaps that's why the pictures always show a non-powered vacuum). Second, this can be a problem for many - the hose will easily stretch only 3ft 4in - 3ft 6in, after which you will feel pressure in the opposite direction. You can still stretch it to about 4ft, but using a stick becomes very uncomfortable. You can stretch it even further to about 5 feet, but it's almost impossible to work with a wand that length. Walk 5 minutes and you'll drag or knock over the vacuum cleaner. If you climb stairs let's assume you carry a vacuum cleaner, I don't really care, but I go to the gym three times a week. For most people, this will be very annoying. Also 69 dB for the lower setting. At full power, the noise level is about 30% higher (about 90 dB in my opinion). Too bad I have to guess as the manufacturer doesn't provide you with this information and I posted this question but didn't get an answer (because of course it gets loud). I personally don't care as long as it offers good suction and it does. However, the rigidity of the hose takes more than one star away from the vacuum cleaner. Add a string at the top wrapped around a short loop that blocks the wand, and even one star may be too many. But if you are looking for a vacuum cleaner with good suction power - this sucks out coins without hesitation - grab it. A word of caution though: since it's great for picking things up from bare floors (nothing gets caught behind the vacuum or spills), it doesn't work well on W-grooved floormats. Leaves sand in the groves and requires the use of a wand to remove. For a single residential area rug it might not matter much, but for commercial use I'd say it's more of an issue.
