We used them for our 7 hour trip with our two little boys 5 and 3 years old. You were wonderful! The boys loved it so much they got their own screens! We hooked it up to the car, turned on the movie and it started right away. The noise was pretty loud as I was driving and the player was right behind my head, but the guys could hear it. It made our long journey more fun for the kids. The only issue I had was that it was difficult to tighten the straps to keep the player on the headrest. I screwed it back on and it stayed, but it wasn't as tight as I would have liked. This kept players on their headrests. We were also able to plug them into the wall on the cruise ship so the boys could watch their movies in their free time. I wish it was louder on the ship but the boys were happy! Very happy with our purchase!
