Review on 69 5306TS Typhoon Air Intake Kit by Dave Albright

Use a dry filter instead

I was looking for air intakes for my 2010 Kia Soul. I've narrowed my choices down to K&N and AEM. I was more inclined to use K&N's as I've installed them on other vehicles I've had in the past and have never used AEM products. Before I wanted to buy a K&N, I decided to call my dealer to see if that would void part of my warranty (the reason I bought a NEW car in the first place). He told me that K&N makes a great product (as mentioned, I already knew that) but that an oily filter would void part of my warranty, specifically the MAP sensor. I then asked about AEM which is a dry filter and he said that AEM is also a great product and does NOT void ANY part of my warranty. Instead, I ordered AEM.
