The design in this order is lighter
The initial order for a pet gate was a piece of wood with a strong frame around each section. This order looks more like plastic than wood and has a narrower bezel around the sections. The distance between the bars is also larger in this order; about half an inch. It's not a problem now, but it may have allowed the pup to crawl through when he was younger. The overall weight of the gate is lighter and easier to carry. The gate works very well and the end section opens easily for passage. I would recommend ordering 4 panel doors as they are more versatile and can be used in different opening sizes.
