Excellent protection against warm water.
I dive in the Philippines where a wetsuit is overkill for protection. Regular flimsy nylon rashguards are hot as hell when dry and cold as hell when wet. This thin neoprene shirt keeps me cool before the dive when I soak it in water first, but warm enough to avoid wind chill when I return to the boat after a dive.
