A rash broke out - it had to be washed first

When I put this shirt on for the first time it turned out to be hot here in Texas. I was drenched in sweat and the shirt was sticking to my skin. Now and then I would press my forehead against the crook of my sleeve and try to wipe some of the sweat; wiping it off won't help as the sleeve was already soaked in sweat, I just had to keep it from getting in my eyes. I went out later and some of the sweat evaporated in the wind. That night I fell asleep in my shirt while watching a movie. This morning (Saturday) I noticed a rash extending from my wrists to my arms, my forehead felt like a pimple and my shoulders and neck felt itchy and tingly. I unbuttoned my shirt; My chest was covered with red dots. After removing my shirt completely and looking in the mirror, my forehead and cheeks were covered with red dots, some almost to the top; my back, arms and chest, and part of my abdomen below the beaks but above the waist are covered with the same red dots. The shirt was hanging off most of my body, plus my forehead and cheeks where I was trying to soak up the sweat with my sleeves, all in a rash. It's now 1am the next day and I'm still covered with a rash that itches, this rash doesn't seem to be getting better. On Friday I was home all day, sweating in this shirt, just went for an evening walk of about four miles, and then returned home. I only have this rash from the waist up and down the arms. It is clear that this is the result of a shirt that has just been taken out of the box. Otherwise I love the shirt and look forward to wearing it again, fully washed of course. If I break out again, I'll leave him. Disappointed with this experience, I certainly didn't anticipate this having spent over $20 on this shirt. I'm feeling quite uneasy right now.
