I bought this to replace another African net I had which was a mistake. At first the material looked and felt like velcro. Another net I had was made from woven fiber. When you use it in the shower, little bits of mesh fall off all over the place, and they're pretty painful when they get caught in the crevices of your body. Every time I used this net it left scratches all over my body like a dog had scratched me or something. This mesh is definitely not safe for your skin. I'm not new to exfoliating products and was expecting them to be a little scratchy, but that's too much.
