I have 2 strong oak trees growing 45 feet apart in my yard. What they don't say in the description is that you will get a 42ft piece and an 8ft piece equals 50ft. There is no separate attachment to the tree, so you have to wrap the line around the tree, which shortens it considerably. I have a tree that is 3 feet in diameter and 2.5 feet in diameter. The ratchet line is too short to bypass. So, including the diameter of the tree, I lose almost 18 feet of cable length. Either I have to return it or spend even more money to avoid the trees around me.
