No, they do not stay sharper or last longer than standard blades.
I was really hoping that this blade would look like my titanium coated scissors, but far from it. I use my cutter to cut vinyl stickers and after only cutting 40 stickers the blade was no longer smooth it started leaving receding marks. Anyone who makes decals or stickers will know what I'm talking about when the blade dulls. So I would recommend it, yes, WHY? Because there is NO other blade that fits this cutter as it is proprietary.
