I have a Miele Titan cylinder vacuum cleaner and bought it to replace a Miele parquet brush that broke after only two years. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but enough for a lot less than the cost of Miele parts. This sucks well and sucks a little better due to the 50% smaller footprint, but has almost the same width as the Miele. It swivels when turning, but only 45ยฐ to each side instead of 90ยฐ as with the Miele. It lacks some degree of freedom, so you can't raise and lower the wand without tilting your hand. Horsehair doesn't have the large gaps that Miele does, but they are open on the sides as well. The hair isn't straight and fans out a bit, but seems to be staying in place well. The main issue is that this one doesn't have the Miele's plastic storage tabs, so I can't store the wand upright on the back of the vacuum. cleaner, and there's no button to lock - it just pushes the end of the Miele wand, fits perfectly and stays in place. In the round part where the tube meets the brush is a spring that allows the brush to rotate slightly to either side when you hit what looks like a table leg. I'm a little worried about the durability of this part but the rest seems to be as good or better quality than Miele. I have uploaded some photos showing this brush and the Miele I am comparing to. While I prefer the Miele functionality, this is much better and should work at least as well.
