Review on Seeed Studio Seeeduino XIAO Grove Shield Extension Board for Enhanced Battery Management and Bonding Pad by Carrie Thal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My favorite little non-ESP.

Honestly, I just don't see any other microcontroller for my non-wi-fi projects. inexperience on my part. The project pictured above is an MQ gas analyzer with four sensors and an OLED display, powered by a 5V USB-C power supply. 5V is used to power the sensors and a small fan, the air circulates while the MPU runs at 3.3 VI. Bought a second set of three, an expansion board and some Grove patch cords. To be honest I don't know if I will use an expansion board as I haven't had much trouble experimenting with them on multiple I2C devices. The expansion board has a debug interface which I might need one day. If you don't need Wi-Fi or BLE ESP32/8266 I would recommend this microcontroller. I used YouTube for all my initial research and then the manufacturer's website and forums. I develop with PlatformIO, but could also program with the Arduino IDE.

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • I won't say anything
