This is a very well made tool with multiple templates for free motion quilting with a ruler. However, its 1/4 inch thickness makes it difficult to use on low shank sewing machines, limiting tool placement relative to the ruler foot. It should not be placed near the back of the presser foot as it will be in the set screw or shank. It can be used (with caution), but not easily. I don't blame the tool. As someone just learning free motion quilting, I was unaware of the problem with these 1/4 inch thick rulers and their incompatibility with low shank machines. They were designed for long sleeve quilts and I'm sure they will work great on them. If this tool came in 4mm I would buy and recommend it.
