Review on Milwaukee 0880 20 18 Volt Cordless Vacuum by Tyra Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is an updated version - works great

I recently bought a small battery powered handheld vacuum for my workshop (find it here) - and it was so handy I decided to buy the small shop vacuum I to replace use for home projects. Since I use Milwaukee tools for almost everything and have half a dozen of their batteries, going with this model was an obvious choice. When I received this shop vacuum I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is an updated model compared to the photos on the product page here at Revain. The method of attaching the hose is different; and it appears to be an important and worthwhile upgrade, which is confusing since the model number hasn't changed. Amazing how much more practical it is than a mains vacuum! I found it so much easier to use that I pull it out more often without even thinking about it. In addition: 1) It is much more convenient to pack and store as there are no attachments hanging from it. or cords to be wrapped. 2) It's just as powerful as my previous little Craftsman. 3) The inner hose works great and the built in nozzles are actually kept in a closed vacuum for storage. a potential downside is that it corrodes batteries; However, this is not a big problem if you want to use it for small projects. I can get around 10-15 minutes of continuous use from a RedLithium XC 4.0 battery (found on this site) - and you should see in the attached photos that there is plenty of room for their newer/larger battery. packs. All in all, if you are looking for an extremely handy and compact vacuum for smaller projects, then I would highly recommend giving this one a try.
