100% RECOMMEND - Portable AV

Value for money - excellent Product quality in use - excellent Manufacturer - excellent* Ease of use - great Size of the actual radio is very small We went on a trip with a group of friends. One was a professional electrician who was actually working in the field and at the time for a Midland competitor. He recommended we buy this MXT105 as neither of us have federal licenses to transmit higher power/broadband radios. He has a fairly large and feature rich radio (Kenwood) and said he was impressed with the MXT105 he used on the trip. In total we bought about 2 dozen of these. All were pleasant, we were often far apart or in mountainous terrain. Easy to use, add an external speaker, if you have a roadster, just plug it back in, no wiring required. We mounted the radio on a decorative panel that fits snugly behind the seats. Others have found all sorts of ways to install it temporarily, velcro or just put it in a small bag for storage. I prefer the device to get maximum airflow. A few people have theirs hardwired and the radio permanently installed. The mic cable was short, Midland recommended I stretch it a bit why didn't we notice lol it's longer now and no longer a problem. *Note on Midland - I contacted the company trying to fix a problem with my radio. Once I spoke to the right department, I received top notch customer service. Midland empowers its employees to make decisions that make customers very happy. If the opportunity arises, I will buy Midland products again.
