I have seen several adapters of this type but now I think this is one of the best. Ideal for notebooks. If you have a new Mac Book Pro, yes. You had to come up with something fast for your USB devices. Offers you 4 USB ports. 3 of them are for USB 3.0 which is great and the other 2 are Micro SD card slots which is good because of my cameras. Also very inexpensive. Even allows me to use my capture card to stream, unlike another adapter I have that doesn't work. My only mistake. It has a micro SD with an adapter slot, but it's too small for everything I have. Ultimately that's fine because I only need one camera and I can connect another camera via USB, but I think it's just something to consider. Maybe I misunderstand what this place is for. Overall great but be aware it gets hot. Make sure it's not covered by anything. I'm sure it can get too hot and ruin a few things. So be careful.
