Review on 🚲 NiteRider Lumina 1200 Boost USB Rechargeable Bike Light: Powerful Lumens LED Front Headlight for Men & Women - Easy to Install for City & Mountain Commuting, Cycling Adventure, and Safety by Nick Cleary

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good beam, poor user interface, fragile, low battery

Lightweight, adjustable and feels like a legitimate quality product. The downside is the terrible user interface. You have multiple modes, blinking, on, off etc. all with one button. You have multiple interaction types for this button, including a two-second press, a seven-second press, a three-second press, and a "double-click." Really stupid. Why can't I have a dial or switch to select a mode and a separate button to turn it on and off? I can then set it to 1200 where I want it to be all the time. Switching modes is a waste of time. I really couldn't figure out how to put it in fast mode, so I just long press and then click three(?) times to put it in brightest mode. Bad: Fragile. It unhooked while moving at about 5 miles per hour, fell to the ground and immediately stopped working. Bad: Mediocre battery. In order to compete with cars, you really need to take full advantage of this app. 1200 lm. And that means you won't get more than a few hours of life out of it. (Tilt it down a bit so the end of the beam is about 15-20 feet in front of your front wheel. This increases your visibility to others as they can see where you are instead of being blinded by the light. Project It also jumps right onto the road in front of you and shows you what's directly in front of you (rocks, glass, etc.) NiteRider has a video explaining the intricacies of this button, I've just watched it and I always get it not yet : if you need to make a video to explain the UI of a simple flashlight you are doing it wrong one switch for on another for mode it's actually not that hard I read them the same lecture and they got it fixed. One button became two. It's much better. They're ok too, although they should have given credit where it's needed: me, the first person to publicly suggest this, and m.
