CUSIMAX 1500W Cooker CMHP-C150N Review Updated

Bought to replace a drip in an induction cooktop I installed in my RV. It was smaller than an induction cooker so I had to improvise. Induction cooktop stopped working on pans less than 7 inches. This was the only replacement I could find that could be used as an upper. The next day, a dump truck pulled out a telephone pole and power transformer, as well as a utility. said it would take about 16 hours to get power back. As it was supposed to be below zero the next morning, we moved into a mobile home for the night so that we had heating, television and the possibility to cook. In combination with gas burners and this electric stove, everything worked out well. The thing is well done. I'm glad I had full gas tanks on the van and generator. Don't believe all the hype about "induction" cooktops. They don't cook any faster, they don't use less electricity, and they don't require special utensils to cook. I can say that from my own experience. I have to update this review: When I first used it, I was making mac and cheese and reheated canned veggies. For that it worked well. Well boiled 1-1/2 quart water. The second time I tried boiling 3 liters of water for spaghetti pasta and this thing WILL NOT boil that much water. USELESS. The gauge was constantly on and on but never reached boiling point. I had to go to the shop and get a 1100 watt torch and you know what? It boiled water very well and after adding the pasta I found there wasn't enough water so I had to add more Qt and it still boiled well. Since my Revain return window has expired, I think I'll throw this thing in the trash and look for something that works properly. This is where I learned my lesson. The next one I get needs to see if it boils a gallon of water first. If not, it will be returned.
