There were some doubts when ordering, but it turned out well! A little big for my needs but great for dogs and cats. I use in serums. Another issue was whether the screw on the cap would be wide enough for 1" wide bars and whether the part through the bars would be small enough for just under 1/2" between bars. The answer to both questions is yes, it will work, it will work for different cage bar widths. Another issue is whether there is enough threading to hold the cap in place and not act like a stripped screw. It's good! Finally, the bowl is beautiful with a round diameter and round thickness. Concave bottom to prevent food (bird, dog or cat) from getting stuck in the seams and corners. It also allows kibble to pool in the middle of the bottom so it doesn't become as flimsy as a flat-bottomed bowl when the animal consumes it. It helps my Serams! I like that the bowl is not attached to the plastic and is easy to take out and take out for cleaning or any other reason. I wish it was half the size for my serams but they can't knock it over and don't waste food on it. It also protects against straw and other dirt. I can position it just above their floor so that they can get in easily but not jump or claw or try to nest into their food. It was a good buy. I love that I can use this in transport boxes and travel cages. The colors are very nice, but they aren't too good and don't cause problems for birds (birds can be weird with colors - ESPECIALLY red!
