Review on HYS Tactical BNC Foldable Standard by Radney Taala

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I thought it was just a tactic, but it actually works well.

I have tried several different antennas for my Baofeng Uv-5r and Bf-f8HP (Rubber Ducky, Nagoya 701, 771 and 771R and some non-brand antennas). I recently added a BNC adapter to connect a portable antenna to a car antenna. I chose this antenna. Wow, I'm surprised. Excellent Rx and TX. My antenna meter showed 1.2:1 to 2.1:1 at 70 cm and 2 meters. The SWR is slightly higher than the advertised <1.5, but still good values. NA-771 length antennas used to be my best specs for the HT, but this has become my new favorite. It's also slightly larger when folded, so strapping the HT on yourself can be a little awkward. When folded, it's about the same length as the NA-771 but wider. An elongated, long and silly look. But it really expands your HT range. I've always been the function over form guy, so I don't care.
