I used to have problems with electric can openers but this one opened cans differently so I decided to give it a try. That works great. Simply sent to the glass and press the button. When I opened several glasses in a row, it neither got hot nor warm. The little magnet that's supposed to lift the lid doesn't work most of the time, so I just lift the lid with my fingers. Haven't tried it with canned tomato paste yet and it doesn't work with anything you might want to use for sifting liquids like tuna.
