With this garlic press, all you have to do is peel and toss the garlic cloves, squeeze the handles and voila! The result is a thin paste that's perfect for frying, braising, or any other cooking method you use. Sometimes a piece of clove will squeeze out of the press, especially if you put a few cloves in it. I just open the press and slide the scatter pieces back in. To clean it I have to use a toothpick to remove all the bits in the press. But this is inevitable and a minor inconvenience. I am very happy with this purchase.
