I have to admit I was skeptical when I saw them. They reminded me of the rugs my parents and grandparents had on the floor, but the desperation to avoid further damage to my countertops outweighed the concern if they looked like "mini rugs". I am very happy to say that they are AWESOME! They won't stick to the bottom of your glass when wet with moisture (paper, plastic and thin cork), they won't stick to the bottom of your coffee or tea cup (like we've experienced with design corks), and they're a great thermal barrier for your furniture! They're not pretty, but they're easily the best coasters we've ever had (and we're in our 60s)! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And yes, I paid full price for it and received no compensation for my review. My kids want them now too!
