I recently converted my workspace into a standing desk with a treadmill under the desk, so I was looking for an ergonomic stool with a solid base so I could sit occasionally without damaging the treadmill rails. The base of this stool allows me to set it up on a treadmill without creating pressure points on the treadmill or causing damage, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, the stool is not ergonomic and extremely uncomfortable. Overall I am disappointed with the purchase and will end up investing in another stool that is truly ergonomic and offers comfort for the times I need to sit.
