Ideal for a bar table

I bought the new bar table from Veridesk for this purpose. That's great. I read many reviews of the chair that Veridesk sells and chose this one because it seemed cheap, aesthetically pleasing, and had the right mix of height for sitting and standing. No complaints yet. I now almost always leave my desk in standing mode and occasionally use this stool while standing without a stool. I love that you can sit on it upright like a bar stool or lean forward and put your feet on the floor and tilt…

Disappointed with Home Office Furniture

I recently converted my workspace into a standing desk with a treadmill under the desk, so I was looking for an ergonomic stool with a solid base so I could sit occasionally without damaging the treadmill rails. The base of this stool allows me to set it up on a treadmill without creating pressure points on the treadmill or causing damage, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, the stool is not ergonomic and extremely uncomfortable. Overall I am disappointed with the purchase and…

Desk chair helps me move

This chair is the last and hopefully last work chair I've bought for a long time. I have restless legs syndrome and also tend to focus on the computer. I forget to get up and move as often as I should. I bought the stool in desperation after using 4 or 5 work stools which over time became very uncomfortable. Desk chairs ranged from a task chair without armrests to a high-back leather "manager" chair. Everyone had to look for a new home when the leg cramps started again. The chair doesn't let me

Easy to assemble, well made, nice and big but. sooo slippery!

I got a larger version of this stool with a black mesh seat to use as a temporary break from standing at a desk. Pros: Sturdy, very easy to assemble with 3-step instructions, easy to raise and lower, very easy to raise and move with just one finger, large enough to support most people as a standing chair, not just sitting (my height is 5ft 7in and I can barely get on it when it's all the way up). Cons: Fortunately or unfortunately, all I can say is that he encourages me to stand behind his bar…

Beware of increased height, uncomfortable cushion

Unfortunately I will be returning this stool after a few weeks of use. The pillow is too slippery to sit on and too uncomfortable after a long stay. If the manufacturer replaces the seat with a more comfortable and non-slip material, I would consider trying it in the future. First Review: After being forced to work at a desk all day during the pandemic, I developed back pain from sitting in a regular Costco office chair. I researched the options and decided to try the active chair and it was…

Excellently balanced and comfortable to use

I have a desk that I can sit or stand at so I wanted something I could sit at a lower height while standing or crouch/lean on. So far I am very happy with this chair. Pros: The tilt function feels very natural and stable. I was afraid it would look like the stool would slide, but I'm standing on laminate flooring and it wouldn't move an inch unless I wanted it to. In fact, I found I had to lift it off the ground to move it forward or backward. The height adjustment is smooth and the adjustment…

Cons
  • Good but not great

One of my colleagues tried out her Move by Varier tilting saddle stool, natural ash frame, black fabric STE 999 seat, which I wasn't a fan of. Having something between my legs all day caused me too many wedges. Another colleague let me try her rocking chair from Uncaged Ergonomics - the perfect ergonomic office chair for active sitting, sit-stand desks, breakfast barstools with an adjustable saddle. Task chair (Black) which was much better but I found the seat was too small even for my skinny…

Slippery seat on this chair, still trying to solve the problem

Update: I returned this chair to Safco after two weeks in favor of a Songmics standing desk chair. In short, the Songmics has a smaller saddle diameter, which some might not like, but you don't slide off at an angle like the Safco, which has a slippery saddle material. Songmics doesn't turn at the top like Safco, I'll miss that. It has a "rocking" base that I like more when I use it. It has a stronger plunger when you sit down and doesn't sag at all, unlike the Safco, which sags an inch or two…

Sturdy, lightweight, ensures a smooth ride

I love this little stool! I've been in an exercise ball chair for about 4 years and was ready for a change, but I didn't need my back or arms. I needed freedom of movement, like in my ball chair, but not one of those versatile chair chairs and also something affordable. Good Things: * Sturdy yet lightweight and easy to move * Quiet on all floors (see below) * Seat rotates 360 degrees smoothly and silently * Large seat size (approx. 16 inches in diameter) * Provides smooth tilting and rocking *…
