Sturdy, lightweight, ensures a smooth ride

I love this little stool! I've been in an exercise ball chair for about 4 years and was ready for a change, but I didn't need my back or arms. I needed freedom of movement, like in my ball chair, but not one of those versatile chair chairs and also something affordable. Good Things: * Sturdy yet lightweight and easy to move * Quiet on all floors (see below) * Seat rotates 360 degrees smoothly and silently * Large seat size (approx. 16 inches in diameter) * Provides smooth tilting and rocking * SUPER easy assembly (takes about 30 seconds, no tools or equipment required)* Convenient air jack for raising/lowering* Great price* Cool color choice ;) More details for lots of information/PDFs about this stool!http://www.safcoproducts . com/twixt-active-seating-desk-height-3000or#youtube), I decided to buy it. A little bit about me: I'm 5ft 3in and about 250lbs. Here are some basic details about the stool that I would like to share based on my own experience and also update some of what others have said in older reviews: * Chair weight limit: 250 lbs (obtained this information by calling Safco). I would suggest that you could weigh more and still use it normally, maybe 25-30 pounds more. It's robust!* The Twixt is Safco's entry-level active chair. So if you're looking for something that lets you move A LOT and not just wiggle or lean gently, you might want to check out the other models. *Previous reviews mentioned that the base was very noisy on hard floors. Safco must have changed the base material because my chair is completely silent on the laminate floor.* Some people have complained that the chair had to be made heavier to reduce its height. These are most pneumatic elevators. Yes, it can be more difficult for children, but Safco has other stools for children, so they may be easier! Anyway, as an adult, it works perfectly and lowers and raises the seat as expected. Compresses easily! * As mentioned, polyester mesh fabric is a bit slippery for a steep slope, especially depending on the fabric of your pants. I'm wondering if it gets a little tougher with time/use? Again, this is an active 'beginner' chair, so its movements are 'lean' rather than 'lean' anyway, and the smoothness of the fabric doesn't affect that. It's not really a problem for me :) Choosing a vinyl fabric might not be that easy. Sometimes I work on the computer all day, I don't see that as a problem. It's soft enough to support my shoes and if I'm feeling uncomfortable, maybe it's time to get up and take a break :) *I like the slightly curved seat cushion. I find that most chairs put a lot of uncomfortable pressure on the backs of my thighs because they are higher on the sides or in front of the seat, so this design is very comfortable and even better for stretching my legs! I've found that the canopy puts a little pressure on my tailbone at times, so I just move back (or stop bending! LOL) and I'm fine. it adjusts to the perfect and right height for my short legs.laughs.Even in the highest position I can still sit comfortably and stretch my legs.* For those who care about their health, no flame retardants are added to the upholstery Cheers :) I hope this simple and strong stool will serve me for many years to come!
