Review on ๐Ÿง™ LEGO Harry Potter Calendar with Exclusive Minifigures by John Caldwell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great set for beginners but not for everyone

If your child is new to Lego Harry Potter then this set is a great introduction including many key scenes and characters from the early parts of the first book (although you can buy them separately add a Hagrid minifigure). In fact, I can't think of a cheaper Lego Harry Potter introductory set right now. And because this advent calendar has very few Christmas-themed elements, it makes a great starter set for any time of year, not just around the holidays. unique items like a birthday cake, Dudley in his pyjamas, and robes to pre-sort. a bit disappointed with this set. I really liked how the previous two advent calendars helped improve my other sets. Last year's advent calendar was packed with great additions to the Clock Tower/Yule Ball set, and the first advent calendar added festive elements to the 2018 Great Hall. This year's advent calendar takes a different approach, with lots of small compilations of items from different scenes, but I don't see a good way to combine them with my other sets. However, if you're more into playing than pointing, you might enjoy the innovative board game that picks up on this year's advent calendar. Personally, I'm a lot less excited about this set than previous Harry Potter advent calendars.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt it
