I love all Tovolo products and I have had good luck with them and they have proven to be very durable. Our old potato masher was cheap and starting to rust (ouch!) so this was a big upgrade. The silicone chopper prevents potatoes, avocados and other foods you chop from sticking to it. The only downside was that after very little use the handle came loose leaving a sharp edge on the end of the squeezer. but a little superglue solved that problem. keep your fingers crossed.
