The reason I was interested in reviewing these fairy lights is because of the length of the string. The light string is 33 feet long, making it appropriate for a Christmas tree. But I wanted to place them above a window in the living room, creating an ambient glow.The lights come with a USB-A connector which can be converted to a traditional wall plug if you choose, but this is not described in the instruction manual. I just tried it and it worked beautifully.I placed the lights on a shelf about a foot lower than the ceiling (9 feet off the ground), distributing them around the shelf for equal lighting. But because the lights were so high up, when I plugged them in, about 8-10 lights are glowing in mid-air. A short extension cord should fix this issue easily.The lights come with many features: remote control (pictured), timer, brightness, color modes, one-color-only mode, and music sync. I showed a picture of the remote because the OFF button is green while the ON button is red. Believe the word, not the color.If I were to use these on a Christmas tree, I think I would want at least 3 strings, but your mileage may vary.This was exactly what I wanted.
