The simple replacement of this component made up for the disappointment of the failure of the original.

Time will tell, but the original Roomba failed after only 18 months of use. This assembly is the main functional component of the vacuum cleaner as it provides both vacuum suction and rotation of the brushes and the cost of replacing it was almost 30% of the cost of a new Roomba. When it arrived it only took about 10 minutes to replace the entire assembly.
