Without having read or understood the detailed description of how to connect this product, I connected it to a USB hub. I soon had a valuable CD in the product, couldn't use the eject button on the computer, and didn't have an eject button on the product itself. After trying many different searches and actions with the computer and considering returning the product, I contacted a local company for computer help. You also tried several steps to no avail until a technician after learning about the bushing attachment said there was a solution to your problem! They determined that the product was fine because it worked on a similar MAC computer in their workshop. Then I connected it to my computer. All the computer hubs were full, so I replaced the mouse's USB connector (which I plugged into the hub's slot) with the product's connector, and finally had success. Answer: This product requires additional computer power. This product is now working flawlessly for me and I am happy!
