, do not use them, and I repeat, not for the hood. What they do great is buckle up the bumper compared to those gaudy and crappy looking little rubber things people use. This securely fixes the bumper so it doesn't flap in the wind and looks 1000x better. I use them on the front and rear bumpers and the rear corners of the trunk lid, the trunk shouldn't feel any internal pressure like the hood, but anyway my fender stays go through the trunk lid to the trunk floor, so even if they come out of service, the barrel won't go anywhere go there very happy with them
