Review on 🔍 HHIP 4901-0314 3 Piece Combination Square Set with 0-12" Blade – Ultimate Precision and Versatility by Andrew Choukline

I have a jStarrett 12" combo square and while I know it's high quality I didn't have more than $90 to buy a 6" square . So I adjusted my expectations and ordered this one. However, after receiving this imported combination. square, I immediately returned it for the following reasons: 1. The product did not match the description or the photo as it did NOT have a 4R division but was divided into the metric system on one side and the imperial scale on the other. I don't use metric.2. The square failed the squares test but was 1/32" over 6" 3". The scriber cap screws on and glues on, so when you unscrew it the cap comes off and the scriber stays screwed in the hole.4 .Photoetching is very light although I expected it for the money.I was hoping they sent me the wrong SKU and that they actually had 4Rs in stock so I asked for a replacement.No joy!I think these ones Importers don't even know what 4R stands for, they just copy and paste the Starrett combination.square listing.I.In second place, the finish of the center section left something to be desired.(It was normal on the first point) BUT.the second Square was dead on the square.In terms of timeliness of delivery it was outstanding.They just sent me the wrong item twice in a row.I don't know why I even bothered e to write a detailed description of why I returned the first square. Either nobody read it, or those who did have no idea what their product description means. So now I have a dilemma. Live with the metric and secure the scriber by drilling and pinning. Or send it back for a refund.
