I love literally everything about these pants (the fit, the stretch panels, the pockets), other than the fact that they have a Teflon coating. I was looking for a type of pants to order a bunch of and wear on a daily basis, but these are not them, due to this reason alone.Sure, you could say it’s my fault for not reading the product description more thoroughly, but I didn’t realize this before ordering or washing the pants I got. The fabric has a slightly slick/slimy feel to it, and makes a bit more noise as you walk than similar pants that I have (which are not made of Teflon treated fabric). Even if it does help with stain and water resistance (which I’m sure it must), I would prefer that it not be present (I mean, they’re black pants in my case, how stained are they going to get?) because I do not enough the feel of the fabric. In my experience, you’re either someone who cares about limiting your daily exposure to things like likely carcinogens (and not supporting the environmental effects of the production of these chemicals) or you’re someone who couldn’t care less about these things and only worries about the immediate, short-term benefits of said chemicals. I suggest doing your own research and staying informed. Personally, I would prefer to deal with an occasional stain and reduce my harmful chemical expose in every way possible, as NOTHING is worth an increased risk of testicular cancer.
