I have dealt with dishonest mechanics and dishonest car dealers in the past. There are no words to describe the horrible feeling after finding out you have been tricked. At first glance, this scanner turned out to be inferior. Compared to some others I thought I would be disappointed. This couldn't be further from the truth! I had the opportunity to try a more expensive scanner and this one worked much better! It was easier to navigate and understand. Don't underestimate his skills. It works exactly as described. My car needs a shift magnet. My check engine light came on, but there were no apparent problems. I tried a fancy scanner with brighter options; Actually more than I need. Not only was it difficult to use, but it gave out wrong codes. Personally, my only criticism of scanners in general is that they don't have an internal power supply. Neither does this one. But if you need to know what kind of problem your engine light is indicating, this scanner should help! Even if you have never used it, it is easy to use. The instruction manual is easy to understand and follow. It also turns off the engine light, but I haven't tried that option yet. When the problem was correctly diagnosed, which I had already verified with a trusted store, I was confident that this scanner would perform at its best in the future. This smaller and less expensive scanner had a huge impact on my perception of scanners! Reliable and accurate! Highly recommended!
