Review on 🌀 GermGuardian FLT5000 Genuine HEPA Replacement Filter for AC5000, AC5000E, AC5250PT, AC5350B, AC5350BCA, AC5350W, AC5300B Air Purifiers - Gray by George Mendoza

This filter seems to have several suppliers. I have bought this filter 3 (?) times and the first time was great. The second seemed to take on a burning smell after a few months so I replaced it. The new one I received continued to give off a burning smell. It started to scare me so much that I contacted GermGuardian and they sent me a new unit under warranty. Since the filter was almost new, I kept it (on the advice of GermGuardian support). The smell of burning also remained in the new GermGuardian. The filter supplied with the machine does NOT emit this smell. (I kept the old GermGuardian and the results are the same between the two filters - the old car doesn't smell burnt when combined with the NEW filter.) Would have given it 1 star but ended up getting a new GermGuardian. I will be looking into new carbon and HEPA filters for my GermGuardians in the future
