Review on Black Victorinox Lexicon Professional Lasalle 15-Inch by James Julien

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Robust, high-quality processing. But it lacks the features found in less expensive bags.

I'm a fan of Swiss things to start with. I'm already biased. But that's okay because I'm going to compare this bag, which I bought in October 2017, to my SwissGear bag, which I bought from Marshalls in 2008. Keep in mind that both are made in China. What else is new. :( When you take this bag out of the box, you can already see that Victorinox takes care of its packaging. Everything is professionally packed, filled, protected and well served. If you are tired of taking everything off, you have to start opening it the pocket to understand Let's start where you probably spend most of your time - the front storage compartment. I think the front is perfect for small USB cables, ethernet, etc. The other side is perfect for my longer ethernet cable that I need when I'm with clients The "centre point" of this bag is where I think Victorinox needs to be Take a step back and rethink your design On the right side you have two pockets that good for portable chargers and USB sticks I need two phones so one is perfect for that Three layered pockets on the left I'm not sure what's going to happen here For Visi ten cards they are too big. They are too small for portable electronics. Hm. So I packed my stuff from my old SwissGear bag into my new bag and am at a loss as to where to put some stuff. On the right, my portable charger fits snugly in a long bag. But I made sure to put a lanyard on him or he would be lost in the abyss. My USB sticks need a home. Wait. Where is the special pocket for a USB stick with velcro? I have one in my almost ten year old SwissGear bag. (MEERRR MERRR) An awkward buzzer says "Error". Okay, I want to put a business card in a very conspicuous pocket designed for that purpose in case I lose my pocket. Hm. It's not in my Victorinox bag. But my SwissGear does. Fail. OK, next. I have a working ID card that hangs neatly on the inside of my SwissGear's ID clip. So I just put it on my Victorinox clip. uh, she's not here! Fail. OK, next. I want to put my pen in a quick access pen holder. But I can't either. Guys, engineers from Victorinox. I have a need here! :(Next pocket. Fits my laptop. And oh, a pocket for my iPad. Glad my iPad is a smaller version. The big ones don't fit. Hooray for me. Next pocket. Big mouth. I think. And then one Zippered pocket I think I'll put my laptop charger in here Finally a decent zippered pocket to slip my bag over the handle It was essential and I wouldn't even consider buying a bag without it..1) I like leather handles really . They are reinforced and don't dry out like the hard rubber grip of my SwissGear. So five! 2) I'm very concerned about the pointed leather corners on the bottom. These corners take the brunt every time this bag is placed on the ground. My SwissGear's "ballistic nylon" failed in both corners; one of them now shows a hard plastic piping woven into the fabric. Those pointy leather patches won't last long. 3) All "ballistic nylon" (What? Can I shoot it and it will stop a bullet?!) on my Victorinox is single stitched, and my SwissGear has double stitched inside. Another point of failure 4) The shoulder strap is connected with swivels. What if I want the shoulder strap padding backwards on my shoulder? My goodness. Thank you for thinking of me and my unique Victorinox lifestyle. So what's in my $210 Victorinox bag that my $40 SwissGear bag isn't? 1) Good protective corners for laptop. A+2) Dedicated tablet pocket. A+3) Smart carry handle. *Note: I have one in my SwissGear bag but the velcro is very tired. A-4) LIFETIME WARRANTY! A++++++Quality? Good. Big? Fur. Not for money. My SwissGear bag has lasted almost ten years and still has plenty of time left. And he had sooo many other modern technical characteristics. I'll keep the Victorinox bag. I just hope that Victorinox connoisseurs actually read the reviews. Because there is definitely a need to catch up here.
