Poor sizing of screws and anchors
Screws too big for anchors. The first dowel broke while screwing it in (half the dowel stayed in the wall - cool but the screw really tightened with this half dowel system. The second dowel started turning when the screw didn't even go 1/4 in btw - I had to find my own anchor and screw.
