Hello, we need something that will replace the self locking CD/cassette/AM/FM/detachable speakers from the 1970's in one unit. He has been a mainstay for music for many years. but despite the excellent sound from the speakers, it ran out. our most recent use hasn't been CDs, cassettes, or even FM stations. 2nd through 4th generation iPods were the basis of our choice for listening to music. In order to use the iPod, we had to install an amplifier with an RCA cable jack to connect the iPod. This worked great until our new garage cabinets were installed. So the music boom box and the excellent speakers got dusty and were donated to a local reseller. These Amazon powered speakers were well packaged, easy to use, it was a plug and play situation. How nice it was to be tidy at the counter workplace. just plug and play, how easy was that? The sound was really good, and despite the small stature, there was enough sound to keep the volume down. there was no need to launch it into space. Once the device has been used, it's time to clear the counter. These speakers were shipped back to the garage in the shipping crate for protection until the next job. no mess, nothing on the counter, and they were safely tucked away in a deep closet drawer, handy for the next meeting. Thanks for a great product and music setup, just built a new garage cabinet, this is so much better.
